Australian country musician Keith Urban decided to cancel his concert so he could be with his wife, Nicole Kidman, as she received the news of her father’s sudden death.

Family before work

Urban was already on his way to perform at Ventura County Food Bank’s charity event at Sherwood Country Club in California when he received the tragic news and decided to cancel the show.

He subsequently apologized to his fans via Facebook.

“I’m so very sorry that I cannot perform this weekend. We are in a deep state of grief at the passing of Nic’s Father and are heading to Australia to be with family,” Keith wrote.

“We want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for their love, prayers and support through this devastating loss. – KU.”

The musician then immediately flew to Nashville so he can provide the necessary support to Nicole and their two children Sunday, (6), and Faith, (3).

What happened to Nicole’s father?

Even though the official cause of his death is still unknown and is in the process of being identified, the actress’ father, Tony, is believed to have suffered a heart attack. However, this is yet to be confirmed.

Australian Press reported that Tony died in his hotel room in the Southeast Asian country where he was visiting Nicole’s younger sister Antonia Kidman, who lives in Singapore with her husband Craig Marran and their six children.
