Katherine Heigl’s Response To Accusations That She Is ‘Difficult’ To Work With

July 16, 2014

The actress had to deal with some tricky questions during a recent Q&A for her new show called “State of Affairs.” Namely, Katherine was directly asked about the talks and reports that she and her mother, who is an executive producer on the show, are “difficult” to work with.

Being caught a bit off guard, the actress told the reporters: “I certainly don’t see myself as being difficult. I would never intend to be difficult.”

“I don’t think my mother sees herself as being difficult. I think it’s important to everybody to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully and kindly, so if I’ve ever disappointed somebody, it was never intentional,” said Katherine.

Her and her mother Nancy both work as executive producers on the new show.

When Katherine was asked about her mother’s involvement in the production and what she ‘brings to the table,’ Katherine said: “She bakes us cookies!”

The actress was also asked about a recent interview in which she has mentioned how she feels her career isn’t under her control anymore.

“I don’t know if I said my career wasn’t in my control,” she responded. “I stopped challenging myself and I was making choices that I loved and was excited about. I love romantic comedies. I love film. I love watching them… But I stopped exercising different muscles of my ability and then in that moment, I felt I was sort of letting down my audience, wasn’t challenging them either.”

“I think this opportunity in this new show is an extraordinary role, new opportunity and story. An opportunity to flex my muscles as an actor, performance and storyteller…”

We are surely keeping our fingers crossed for Katherine, and hope she’ll manage to bring her career back on track where it deserves to be.
