Guy Sebastian, winner of Australian Idol, is about to begin his tour of New Zealand and stated that one of the best moments of his performing career was singing in front of Oprah.

He said: “She got me to sing at an event, she was only supposed to stay for the first song but she stayed for the whole set, then she came up to ask me to play for her at a private party she was having that night.

She said, ‘I don’t care who is organized to play, I want you’.

She ended up on stage dancing with me and the band, it was such a lovely moment.”

2. Tina Arena

Tina Arena criticized the Australian music industry by stating that it was more difficult for females to gain respect, compared to men.

She said: “There are a hell of a lot more stumbling blocks in your path and whether they are there purposely or not women have to work unbelievably hard to have recognition in this country because it is predominantly an industry that is run by men.”

Natalie Imbruglia will make her stage debut in Neighbors, a play written by Alan Ayckbourn and directed by Laurence Boswell. It tells the story of four people living in an apartment building and how their lives and relationships become intertwined.

It is to be performed at the Theatre Royal Bath, in April 2014.

Rumors that Olivia Newton John had had a plastic surgery were fuelled when her daughter, Chloe, admitted that her childhood was marred by the constant spotlight of fame, and that the condition of her mother’s mental issues had worsened.

John appeared earlier this year in public with her facial skin visibly stretched and her lips swollen.

5. Jimmy Barnes

Music legend Jimmy Barnes will be a headline performer on the 30th of March, 2014, at the Sirromet Wines Day at the Green event. Other performers will include The Angels with Dave Gleeson, Ian ‘Mossy’ Moss, Daryl Braithwaite, Richard Clapton and Boom Crash Opera.

Tickets for the event went on sale on the 9th of December 2013.

Jessica Mauboy performed at Alicia Keys’ concert in Sydney, singing ‘If I Ain’t Got You’ with the superstar. Keys presented Mauboy with the Best Female Artist award at the ARIAs earlier this year.
