2. Melissa Juratowitch
Almost an exact replica of the sister show in the United States “America’s Next Top Model”, the show seeks to find the most beautiful and talented models in all of Australia.
Typically the contestants who come onto the show have little to no modeling experience but have big dreams.
They are then molded and groomed by the judges and the show host Sarah Murdoch. Week by week the pool of models is diminished as models get voted off until only one remains.
The show is created by Tyra Banks, who hosts and created the American version, as well, and many teenaged models try out each cycle. Teenager from Melbourne, Melissa Juratowitch was crowned the winner of “Australia’s Next Top Model”. “I never thought I could even be a model, so to win feels amazing,” she said.
The 16-year-old was overwhelmed after being named this year’s winner, immediately signing to model agency IMG, which has some of the world’s biggest models on its books, including Miranda Kerr. While this young star has a long career ahead of her and much to learn, a large majority of the people who watched the show were happy to see her take home the win.
